Dr Antonio Di Ieva appointed to the board of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics

Macquarie Neurosurgery congratulates Dr Antonio Di Ieva, Senior Fellow at Macquarie Neurosurgery, on his appointment to the Board of Directors of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT).

SBMT is a non-profit society organised for the purpose of encouraging basic and clinical scientists who are interested in areas of brain mapping, engineering, stem cell, nanotechnology, imaging and medical device to improve the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients afflicted with neurological disorders. This society promotes the public welfare and improves patient care through the translation of new technologies/therapies into lifesaving diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Dr Di Ieva has been appointed to the board on account of his contributions to the computational clinical neurosciences in previous years. Dr Di Ieva will chair session at the next World Congress in Los Angeles in April 2017, and will be presenting his latest book "The Fractal Geometry of the Brain" (Springer New York, 2016).
