Complex Spine Fellow
Dr Vu obtained his General Medicine Degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He continued his training as a resident from 2008-2012. During this time, he had expressed a strong passion for spinal disorders and chose Thoracolumbar burst fractures for his final thesis.
After his resident training, Dr Vu qualified as an Orthopaedic surgeon in 2012 and began to work in the spinal surgery department at the Hospital for Traumatology and orthopaedics Ho Chi Minh City.
Dr Vu had the chance to study in Japan for three months on spinal cord injury and rehabilitation at the Spinal Injuries Centre Iizuka city, Fukuoka Japan in 2014. He had another three month fellowship in Australia in 2016 as an international visiting doctor under the guidance of Dr Michael Johnson and Peter Turner at Epworth hospital. He also won the APOA clinical fellowship at Ganga hospital India under the guidance of Professor Rajasekaran Shanmunganathan in the same year, 2016.
From 2014-2017, Dr Vu has finished 7 research's on spinal disorders as first author and all of them have been presented at regional and international spinal conferences.
