Dr Michel Loyoddin

Spine Fellow

Dr Loyoddin graduated from University of Vienna (Austria) Medical School in 1993. After completing his medical studies, he did his military service at Military Hospital Vienna. This was followed by an internship in general surgery and internal medicine at Landesklinikum Mistelbach from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, he receiving training in paediatric and orthopaedic surgery until 1999 at Orthopedic hospital Gersthof and Gottfried von Preyer Children´s hospital in Vienna, and worked in the Emergency department at Rudolfstiftung. In 2004 Dr Loyoddin completed his neurosurgical training at KA Rudolfstiftung.

After completion of his training he joined the neurosurgical team at Rudolfstiftung as a consultant. He was responsible for the coordination of interdisciplinary Neuro-oncology team and was designated supervising tutor for interns and traumatology-fellows. In March 2007 Dr Loyoddin received the “Health- Award“ (Gesundheitspreis der Rudolfstiftung) acknowledging his activity in Neuro-oncology. In 2014 he became at staff- consultant at Rudolfstiftung.

He is currently undertaking a spine fellowship at Macquarie Neurosurgery and enrolled in the Master of Advanced Surgery with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University.

His interests include Spine- Surgery, Neuro- Endoscopy, Skull- Base Surgery, and Neuro-Oncology.
