Dr Kashba received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Garyounis University (Libya) in 2006. He was enrolled in the neurosurgical training program, where his surgical rotations included neurosurgery, surgical oncology, general surgery, urology and emergency medicine, throughout various hospitals in Libya. In 2009 he was awarded a University nominated Libyan government scholarship to complete his PhD in Australia.
Dr Kashba is currently in the final stages of submitting his PhD thesis on the development of new biological treatments for brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Additionally, he is a Neurosurgical registrar at Macquarie Neurosurgery.
