Dr Andrew Gauden completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2008 graduating from a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with first class honours. He undertook an internship and residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital from 2009 to 2012. He commenced neurosurgical training in 2013 completing two years at the Royal Hobart Hospital and then one year at Wellington Hospital, New Zealand. Currently, Dr Gauden is undertaking a PhD in Neurosurgery investigating new treatment for brain arteriovenous malformations using radiation sensitization and vascular targeting. Dr Gauden’s areas of interest include cerebrovascular neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and skull-base surgery.
